How to Build & Engrave Crown Molding Picture Frame

Part 1 of 2. In this video I demonstrate how to engrave an e-Swap logo I redesigned onto the crown molding picture frame. I built an outer casing to place around the picture, then I’ll mount the crown molding to that. I chose Naughty Alder for the frame. A Dremel is the tool I will be using. I fastened the logo and engraved over it. Took about 15-20 minutes to complete. I steadied my hand with my knee to be precise. Using a black pen I slowly traced the etching to show where to paint and it helps smooth it out. I lightly sanded with a 220 grit to remove the feathers and clean it up. I applied a thin coat of stain over the area and wiped smooth. Later I will apply a clear coat. I hope you enjoyed and have fun doing your own. follow us here!
